Affiliatant
Affiliate tracking, commission and payout paperwork

You pay your affiliates. We work out what they are owed.

Affiliatant records every click, decides which affiliate earned each sale and keeps the reason, calculates the commission in whole pennies, and produces the self-billed invoice. It hands you a file listing who to pay and how much. The payment leaves your own bank, PayPal or Wise account. Affiliatant holds no money at any point and charges no percentage of your sales, your commission or your payouts.

What it does

Tracking that holds up

The click id is stored server side. A cookie is a labelled fallback, never the record, because Safari caps how long a script-written cookie survives. Visitor addresses are stored as a keyed hash. Consent is checked before an affiliate cookie is set.

Attribution you can explain

Last click inside a window you set, with explicit rules for what happens when a shopper arrives through one affiliate's link and uses another's coupon code. Every decision is stored with the clicks that lost and the reason, and changing a rule does not alter a decision already made.

Commission in whole pennies

Percentage or flat, per product, per category, per affiliate group, with tiers. Recurring and lifetime commission on subscriptions. Tax and shipping excluded if you choose. No rate is stored, so amounts and percentages cannot disagree.

Holding and clawback

Commission is held for a period you set, which should cover your returns window. A refund inside it reverses the commission before anyone is paid. A refund after payment becomes a debt netted off the affiliate's next pay run, with a credit note to match.

UK self-billing

Affiliatant raises the invoice on the affiliate's behalf under VAT Notice 700/62, stores the signed agreement, validates the VAT number, applies the right treatment for an affiliate outside the UK, and prompts for the annual review.

Fraud rules that flag

Self-referral, impossible click-to-order speed, a repeated device, a referrer that does not match the affiliate's declared sites. Each raises a flag with its evidence for you to decide. Nothing is blocked automatically.

From click to payment

1. The click

An affiliate link lands on the redirect endpoint. The visit is recorded and the visitor continues to your page in one hop. Links may only point at hosts you have allowed.

2. The sale

Your shop reports the order from the order hook and again from a signed pixel on the receipt, reconciled on a shared event id. If Affiliatant is unreachable the plugin queues the event on your server and retries. Checkout completes either way.

3. The decision

One affiliate is credited. The attribution record keeps the model, the window, the losing clicks and the reason code.

4. The payment

A pay run produces a file of who to pay, how much, in what currency and by which method, with thresholds and clawback applied and the invoice attached. You make the payment.

Works with what you run

CubeCart

Free plugin. Reports line items, quantities and the coupon used, with a local queue and retry.

WooCommerce

Free plugin. Order status drives the conversion, refunds drive the clawback, amounts sent in minor units.

WHMCS

Addon that runs alongside the built-in affiliate system and reports a renewal as a renewal against the original referral.

Stripe

For subscription businesses with no cart. First payment, renewal and credit each reported as its own event kind.

PHP SDK

One file, no Composer dependency. The same client the plugins use.

REST API

Scoped keys, test and live modes, idempotency on every write, dated versioning, signed webhooks with a published retry ladder.
